Cornerstone Law is a single attorney firm started by me, Amy (Merrill) Pilson in October of 2021. In November of 2023 I retired after 30 years in public service. While not an attorney during those years, I was directly involved with various aspects of the law and thus became a lawyer later in life choosing to dedicate my time to providing legal services as my second career.

Everyone deserves to have someone on their side guiding them through the process, looking out for their best interest. That may be in a lawsuit, in a business contract, a homeowner’s matter, starting a business, getting out of a financial mess, or just understanding how to write a will. Whatever the issue may be, I want to help. My years of experience, training, knowledge and integrity can get the job done for you. And if for some reason I can’t help you, I will help you find the person who can!

Personal: I am married, have a combined family of three grown children, and five grandchildren. I moved a lot growing up, but have lived in Bradenton, FL for 31+ years. I graduated from the University of South Florida with my Bachelors in Business Administration. I graduated from Western Michigan Thomas Cooley School of Law with my Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. I am bilingual being able to speak Spanish. I am a member of First Baptist Church Palmetto.
